OTHER FAIRMONT FUN!

Unforgettable Experiences by Day — Relaxing Hospitality by Night.  Montana is spectacular in all seasons.  Wild and uncluttered with fewer than seven people for every square mile, it is truly an outdoor recreation paradise.  From hiking and fishing to horseback riding and rafting, southwest Montana has it all for the outdoor recreation enthusiast. Here are just a few of the many summer recreation opportunities that the Fairmont area has to offer.

Resort On-Site Activities:

Hot Springs Pools  – The Fairmont is known throughout the Northwest for its pools — two Olympic sized swimming pools, and two Mineral Soaking pools. One of each is located indoors and outdoors. The pools are fed by a virtually unlimited supply of 155-degree Natural Hot Spring water, cooled to various temperatures for comfort and maximum enjoyment.

Slide – If swimming and soaking is not your thing, try the excitement of our 350 foot enclosed water slide. It’s a wet, exhilarating ride into Fairmont’s outdoor pool and you’re guaranteed to make a splash. The water slide uses the hot springs water.  The water slide and outdoor pool are open throughout the year.

Golf – Fairmont Hot Springs Resort features an on-site, outstanding 6,741 yard, 18-hole, par 72 layout. Fairmont Hot Springs Resort’s Golf Course was just recently named by Golf Digest as one of the “Best Places to Play.”
In addition to Fairmont’s on-site golf course, the Old Works Golf Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, is located In Anaconda, just 15 miles west of Fairmont Hot Springs Resort.

Whispering Willows Spa – After a day of activities or meetings, let us pamper you at the Whispering Willows Spa.  Overlooking the scenic resort golf course, the Spa offers River Rock Massage, Native American Raindrop Therapy, Swedish Massage, Reflexology, Exfoliations, Parrafin Wax Bath, Mud Treatments, Hair Salon, Manicures, Pedicures, and more.

Other Resort Recreation Amenities:
  • Tennis Court – Complimentary for registered guests
  • Children’s “PlayBooster” Playground
  • Minature Golf Course
  • Frisbee Golf “Folf”
  • Basketball Courts
  • Lawn Games including Badminton, Bocce Ball, Croquet, Horseshoes, and Volleyball.

Fairmont Area Recreation
  • Fishing – Fairmont Hot Springs Resort is ideally located for that Montana fishing vacation. Within an hours drive, you can fish three world famous “Blue Ribbon” Trout streams: the Big Hole and Beaverhead Rivers and Rock Creek. Additionally, Georgetown Lake, the Jefferson River, and the upper Clark Fork River also offer outstanding trout fishing. For specific information on fishing on each of these famous fisheries, Click Here.

  • Hiking – If you are an avid hiker we have nearby trails that you can explore while taking in the beautiful Montana scenery.  Click Here for a list of trails and information.
  • Zip Lining – Nestled just outside of Anaconda along the Pintler Scenic Highway is a high adventure completely unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. You will be immersed in the unparalleled beauty of the panoramic Pintler Wilderness while ziplining Montana’s longest zipline course over 9,300 feet.  Broken down into 7 exhilarating courses ranging in length from 650 feet to 2,100 feet.  Check out Montana Zipline Adventures. Click here for more.
  • Mountain Biking – Nearby we have many trails for mountain biking.  Please inquire with us for a list of trails and information on the many available areas.
  • Discovery Ski Area Bike Park
    •  Discovery Bike Park  is a fun, challenging course designed for experienced mountain bikers and park riders. The park is located on the backside of Discovery and drops riders approximately 1,050 vertical feet. Features include wall rides, bridges, jumps, logs, and drops. The park is professionally maintained to smooth out jarring ruts and washboard for a true pro-style experience.  For those looking for a warm-up, there will be a hill climb for riders to access the park with hair-raising descents and plenty of single track. For riders wanting to power themselves up the mountain, the Trail-Use-Only Ticket is just $5.  Get up the mountain in style and jump on the Silver Chief Chairlift for $32.  Discovery Bike Park is accessed via Old Sawmill Gulch Road off Montana Highway 1, just south of Philipsburg.
